• WELCOME

On behalf of the organizing committee, we are thrilled to invite you to participate to the 52nd IUPAC World Polymer Congress (MACRO 2028), which will be held in Strasbourg (France) from August 28 to 31, 2028. This congress under the auspices of IUPAC is co-organized by the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), the French Polymer Group (GFP), the Jean-Marie Lehn Foundation, and the French Chemical Society (SCF).

MACRO 2028 aims at covering polymer science in all fundamental aspects, including polymer chemistry, physical chemistry, processing, physics, theory and modeling as well as the bubbling contribution of artificial intelligence. MACRO 2028 is designed to respond to polymer challenges at the service of society, by addressing the needs in biomedicine, energy, and environmental issues. We expect this congress to provide insights into the latest developments in the polymer field through the contributions of distinguished and emerging scientists from around the globe. MACRO 2028 also aims at fostering insightful and stimulating exchanges of knowledge, ideas and industrial innovations.

We are eager to welcome you in Strasbourg, one of the European capitals, that offers a rich culture, heritage, and culinary experience as a unique and inspiring scenery to engage the polymer community into a place to promote lively and constructive exchanges between polymer scientists from academia and industry from different areas. Looking forward to seeing you in Strasbourg in 2028 !

Daniel Grande & Delphine Chan-Seng, MACRO 2028 chairpersons
